The PSI Community Service Committee recently coordinated two hugely successful efforts to help community members for the holidays. The committee thanks our executives for their support and allowing PSI to take part in these events and also sends a huge “thank you” to everyone who participated!

PSI and the Wood Dale Police department collaborated on holiday community service programs.

Thanksgiving Adopt-A-Family:
This year’s Thanksgiving Adopt-A-Family Program set a goal to support six families in the community; however, the PSI team stepped up to exceed this goal by five families. On top of this, one individual supported four additional families, bringing the donation total to 15 families! Wood Dale Police Chief Greg Vesta picked up the contributions, noting that 85 needy families had already come to the police department to pick up boxes, with more to come.

Toys for Tots:
PSI’s Toys for Tots toy drive ended Nov. 19. This is the first year PSI has participated in the Toys for Tots program. Gary Crigler, aftermarket sales, approached the PSI Community Service Committee about participating in this event through his local American Legion chapter. PSI raised $1,922, collected 409 toys and one bike for the kids! A heated competition – “The Battle of the Buildings” - broke out between the 101 and 201 buildings, which ended with building 201 winning the coveted PSI Toy Titans trophy with a toy count of 280 and monetary donation of $1,410.
