PSI’s Community Service Committee again teamed up with the Wood Dale Police Department to benefit the local community.
This year’s Thanksgiving Adopt-A-Family Program set a goal to support 15 families in the community; however, the PSI team stepped up to exceed this goal by 15 families. The donation boxes were expanded to include shipping/receiving, 201/101 lunchrooms and the 101 Action Center. We even had surprise donations from the Fuel Kit and Kitting departments, each of which donated enough to support a single family.
Wood Dale Police Chief Greg Vesta picked up the contributions, noting that 80 needy families had been identified for 2019, making the PSI effort 37 percent of the city’s total donation.
