State-of-the-Art Customer Training

PSI’s technical training programs give our customers the knowledge they need to get the most out of our engines. We offer courses to engineers, service managers, technicians and others in our Training Center in Itasca, Ill., which is equipped with operational engine test cells, state-of-the-art models and simulators.

Natural Gas Engines

This two-day course includes initial classroom instruction in NG fuel system logic and constant speed governing supported by a wide array of samples, demonstrations and simulations. Students should bring their laptops for installation of and practical exercises utilizing the 4G and GCP Service Tools. Application of systems knowledge is assessed during test cell operation including bugging and fault detection, graphing and cataloging current and historical faults, and corrective actions.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Identify current fuel technology (NGE)
  • Identify fuel system components and how they interact
  • Set up PC to accept E-Control Software
  • Use E-Control Software
  • Use the plotter function
  • Troubleshoot faults and misfires
  • Test cell practical exercises

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Identify current fuel technology (LP)
  • Identify components in the fuel system and how they interact
  • Set up PC to accept E-Control Software
  • Use E-Control Software
  • Use the plotter function
  • Troubleshoot faults and misfires
  • Test cell practical exercises

LPG Engines

This two-day course includes initial classroom instruction in LPG fuel system logic and function supported by a wide array of samples, demonstrations and simulations. Students should bring their laptops for installation of and practical exercises utilizing the 4G and GCP Service Tools. Application of systems knowledge is assessed during test cell operation including; bugging and fault detection, graphing and cataloging current and historical faults, and corrective actions.

Gasoline Engines

This one-day onsite-only course includes initial classroom instruction in gasoline fuel system logic and function supported by a wide array of samples, demonstrations and simulations.
