HDI Engines sold after Jan 2015 will use the 4G Diagnostic Software.
What is a Mobile Engine?
Mobile Industrial engines are products used in applications that are mobile. Examples are forklift’s, wood chipper, sweeper, scrubers. Mobile industrial engines include the .97L, .998L, 2.0L, 2.4L, 3.0L, 4.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, & 8.8L engines. The engines may run on liquid propane or gasoline fuel types.
Diagnostic Software
Engines may use GCP or 4G Display diagnostic Software. Verify the type of ECM hardware you have (GCP or 4G) by visually inspecting the white label on the ECM.
What is a stationary industrial engine?
Stationary Industrial engines are products used in applications that are stationary. Examples include electrical generators and pumps. Stationary industrial engines include the 2.0L, 2.4L, 3.0L, 4.3L, 5.7L, 8.8L engines. The engines may run on liquid propane or natural gas fuel types.
Diagnostic Software
Stationary engines can use either GCP or 4G Display diagnostic software. Engines sold after 2021 are likely to have 4G ECM hardware. 8.8L engines started using the 4G Controller in Q1 of 2015.
What is an M Series HD Engine?
The M-Series HD Engines are part of our heavy-duty engine lineup, which includes the 20L, 32L, 40L, and 53L. These engines are also designated by model numbers such as 8M33, 12M33, and 16M33.

All M-Series engines will use 4G Display diagnostic software.
What is a WP Series HD Engine?
The WP Series HD Engines are part of our heavy-duty engine lineup, which includes the 4.5L, 6.7L, 10L, 13L, and 17L.
Diagnostic Software
All WP Series engines will use 4G Display diagnostic software. Engines sold prior to 2023 may require the WAC Password to access the the ECM. Visit the software page to obtain the WAC and PSI 4G passwords.
